The Deputy Minister of Customs and Revenue Mr. Mullah Abdul Qaher Idrees, and The General Director of Customs Mr. Alhaj Maulvi Abdul Mateen Saeed met Mr. Haji Mullah Acting Governor of Kandahar during his official visit to Kandahar.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed with the New Director of Customs Kandahar, facilities for traders as well as exports of fresh fruits.
In the beginning, the Deputy Minister of Customs and Revenue, Ministry of Finance, introduced the new Director for Kandahar Customs, Maulvi Safar Muhammad Sahar the former Director of Customs in Balkh province as appointed the new Directorate of Customs Kandahar to the Acting Governor of Kandahar. And said; for this reason, we have traveled to Kandahar to introduce the new director and also to meet traders and industrialists and listen to their problems and wants. Then the General Director of Customs said: As a result of the granting of facilities to the traders in the customs, Afghanistan has exported and imported several times more than the previous years. He said: Alhamdulillah, we have had an increase in the level of exports and imports compared to last year. Mr. Saeed added that we have made customs facilities available to traders and industrialists and we are also searching for them day and night. The Acting Governor of Kandahar, while welcoming them, mentioned the traders and industrialists in his speech as the asset of the country and advised the newly appointed director to help the traders and industrialists in all customs matters and solve their upcoming problems in time and assured that the provincial administration is your cooperative all the time.
